<img align="right" wp-image-305" title="car_shopper" src="http://www.burnseo.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/car_shopper.png" alt="car_shopper" width="250" height="203" />Blogging started off as a means of self-expression and it caught on as such. Much later businesses started getting into the act when it was apparent that these sites get quite a lot of visitors. Following that, someone discovered that fine tuning the blogs eventually lead to singling out specific target audience otherwise known as target market in business terms. What is actually amazing to note is that there seems to be no market saturation. As the world progresses, so too the blogs themselves progress and with an endless supply of fresh materials, blogging remains to be a very powerful platform for any business, especially for car dealerships.
Let us consider the five most significant benefits that make blogging beneficial for car dealers.

1. Content – You can blog virtually about anything you can think of but it (the blog) will only be as substantial as your content. Information is what everyone looks for whether online or offline so it makes sense to provide at least something of interest for site visitors to “discover”. Achieve this and after a while, you will be cashing in from the “word-by-mouth” effect which has proven to deliver a lot of loyal and serious traffic. Once the reputation is there, it should be maintained by constantly posting fresh, updated, and of course, relevant contents.

2. Information – No one tires of it and everybody wants it. Smart car dealers know that success requires them to think out of the box. The feedback, reactions, and general buzz on a car dealer’s blog alone can provide very good information that can be used to gauge the industry’s trends. Other car dealers pay for services or web sites to acquire candid information straight from the horse’s mouth, so to speak, whereas blogs provide the same data or information for free.

3. No cost – What can be better than having a completely free and strong promotional tool? That’s what blogging provides. All that is needed to make this effective is what most passionate business people call sweat equity. No money is shelled out in any way yet the returns are comparatively huge. For car dealerships, blogging is undeniably a lot more powerful a tool than printing and distributing flyers.

4. Tools – To make the blogs more effective, there are many blog sites that provide various tools for car dealerships. Examples of these are the various calculators that blog visitors may use to get a calculated answer for various car-related issues or questions.

5. Traffic – The “life” of any successful online business establishment. Once you have your car dealer’s blog registered in major search engines, you are guaranteed great visibility which of course translates to increased traffic to your car dealer website/s. What’s more, this traffic will be made up mostly of potential buyers.

The benefits are a lot more than that but the top 5 benefits stated above is quite enough reason for any car dealership to get into the act of blogging and wait for guaranteed positive results.

Many dealers think SEO for the Automotive industry just involves changing some meta tags. That is not true. The automotive industry is competitive and requires backlinks. Continue reading →

The whole idea is simple; The more people visit your automotive dealership website, the more people you get that are potential buyers. The real trick is how to help these people locate your site. Automotive SEO is your answer.

Automotive SEO works much like your regular search engine optimization wherein the aim is to establish a site on the first page of any search engine’s results page (SERP) based on your chosen keywords and, just like any smart SEO operation, automotive SEO is primarily empowered by content publishing, microsites, robust data structures and link building.

However, it’s link building that matters the most. You could safely say that it is the lifeblood of any stable website. But what is link building?

Most of us know the basics which are creating links to other websites and get them to link back to you. In so doing, you get traffic. The principle is simple yet maximizing its potential power takes a lot of work behind the curtains so to speak. Effective link building can be achieved through:

Joining forums can be very rewarding. You can get quite a lot of unsolicited and very valuable information from highly potential buyers. Share something or, better yet, render help and get your site in either by mentioning it or as part of your signature. You can also start creating your own threads. On a side note, consider signing up in sites with the likes of Yahoo answers. You can get very strong leads here as well mainly under cars and transportation categories. The downside of these kinds of sites is that they tend to be quite time consuming. However, the links and traffic generated from social media sites like these are as good as gold.

Creating Wiki pages for websites, decide on effective keywords such as your dealership name. Search engines pick up on links provided by many Wiki sites.

Setting up accounts on free micro-blogging websites such as www.biznik.com and www.multiply.com and regularly posting substantial articles on them. These get sniffed out by search engines as well.

Taking advantage of Squidoo lenses. Ensure that the contents are, again, substantive and you can strategically throw in your keywords here as well. It’s the content modules that you want to have linked back to your dealership website. You may want to take advantage of other modules as well such as the RSS feed and Video module.

Getting your dealership site included in directory listings. To further your chances of getting into the directories, consider going for those that already have car dealer websites.

General rule of the thumb is to always consider your resources. These may include automotive social media specialists, developers, writers, money and other things that aid you in getting strong links that will improve your organic rankings on Google and other major search engines.

The automotive industry is a competitive one. Sadly it is generally under served at the moment by a host of third party vendors who capitalize on the average dealers large budget, but small knowledge in the field. Like any other marketing or advertising project, dealer need to have a good understanding of what it is they are paying for. Once dealers understand how to determine their ROI, they will be able to make better marketing decisions with their budgets.

The last decade has been an era in which gas prices have swung wildly, often changing by as much as 25 percent. Automobile manufacturers are no strangers to the problem, as their business depends heavily on their customers’ willingness to pay at the pump. Especially over the last several years, car manufacturers have responded to the gas crisis by stepping up their engineering efforts and rolling out more efficient and less consumptive models. The automobile industry has become a frontier for environmental advancement and consumers are buying in, purchasing increasingly efficient cars every year.

European automakers seem to be especially responsive to the environmental situation, as three of the top four automakers in terms of pollution output include Renault, Peugeot-Citroen and Fiat. According to a study published by the European Environment Agency, new cars sold in 2010 posted a 3.7 percent reduction in carbon emissions when compared to cars sold in 2009.

The United States, however, have been less rapid in their response to the global fuel shortage. Despite claiming only five percent of the world’s population, United States drivers are responsible for nearly a third of the cars on the road worldwide. Not only do Americans have more cars, they also are responsible for about half of the world’s carbon emissions. American automakers have made notable improvements to their cars over the last several years in response, even pushing out sports cars with a greener focus. Once icons in American muscle car lore and best known for their brutish power, both the Chevrolet Camaro and the Ford Mustang base-level models now boast fuel efficiency figures better than 25mpg during highway driving.

Facing a shifting industry and fickle consumer demand in the face of the fuel crisis, automakers around the world have altered their production methods and adjusted the focus of their automobiles to reflect a more environmentally friendly approach. Biodiesel holds a significant advantage over traditional fuel in terms of fuel economy and the auto industry is working hard to integrate more diesel models into the market. European carmakers including Volkswagen and Mercedes are leading the charge in developing a line of light-sipping diesel automobiles. Of Volkswagens current ‘TDI’ diesel-powered offerings, three can boast highway fuel consumption figures of more than 40mpg and the Touareg, VW’s full-size SUV, cranks out 28mpg.

Through more efficient manufacturing techniques, alternative power sources, improved fuel mileage or through promoting more environmentally driving habits, car makers all around the world are stepping up their efforts to lessen the enormous toll that driving exacts on the environment. Given unpredictable gas prices and tough economic times, it’s about time that consumers bought into manufacturers’ greener perspective.

Search. People are always looking for something. The more instantly gratified we are with something, the more we are likely to begin searching for something else a lot quicker.

Google changed the way people search. If you want to know the answer to something, you search for it on Google. If you want to know where something is, you search for it on Google. Ultimately, Google is a play on the human psychology. It finds exactly what we want – when we need it. How do you do that socially however?

Entertainment VS Search

In an interview, Sean Parker, the co-founder of Napster and the reason for many key innovations of Facebook, stated that MySpace “blew it” and he compared the type of people on MySpace to the type of people on Facebook by saying: “People on MySpace were working to live while people on Facebook were living to work.”

Why are most people on Facebook? The answer is Entertainment. Yes there are many businesses on Facebook that are there that try to take advantage of that entertainment, but essentially, the vast amount of users are on Facebook to see what everyone they know is up to and it is pretty much a 24/7 online get together.

Another thing that I have heard Sean Parker say publicly (he really does give too many secrets away when he begins to talk) is that Facebook does a terrible job of organizing who your real friends really are. Even the ancient AIM (AOL’s instant messenger) did a better job of this (think “Buddy List’s).

And that’s where Google + comes in. In fact Thank You Thank You, Google Plus for doing this!

Google Plus offers a system which they call “circles” where organizing your friends becomes extremely easy. This becomes very important when you want to separate business, family, and friends. This also leads to a very straight forward privacy setting. This is another big difference between Facebook and Google.

One thing that I really enjoy about Google is that they never try to “trap you” (as Matt Cutts said in one of his popular videos) into using their service. For example, Google docs is very easy to share with people, very easy to export and import, is easily used with many types of software, and not to mention – it is absolutely free!

This is totally different from things like Microsoft and Facebook. We as people are constantly looking at what Facebook is up to and how they are going to bash our privacy rights next. It is extremely hard to delete Facebook for instance. Even if you deactivate your account – all you have to do is log back in and all of your information is readily available for you.

But let’s go back to the matter at hand: Entertainment VS Search. Entertainment will always get old, no matter how good it can be – and Facebook was really good at providing entertainment. But as many people have stated before: “Facebook exists to create Drama.”

Let’s put this into perspective. If we want to “live on the Internet” – as Justin Timberlake said while playing Sean Parker in the movie The Social Network – then that platform has to represent our lives off of the Internet as best as possible. This is what Facebook did better than MySpace. It is only a matter of time before someone or something does it better than Facebook (unless Facebook opens the door for better innovation). Google + just may be that Platform.

Google will continue to roll out many features that will allow us as humans to be a very important factor in their algorithms for determining what should be at the top of the SERPs. In fact, Eric Schmidt, Google’s chief executive, said 2007 in an interview with the Financial Times: “The goal is to enable Google users to be able to ask the question such as ‘What shall I do tomorrow?’ and ‘What job shall I take?’” Integrating social media activity into a search engine will almost serve like a sort of artificial intelligence. We probably aren’t too far off from flying cars and time traveling robots at this point in our history.

Stress at home and at work is our worst enemy. Tie is second in line; we never have time to take care of important things we should, like getting a medical checkup. Life moves fast, it is difficult to get everything done in the time frame we want to so we usually leave the medical checkup for another time while we continue working. Sooner or later this attitude catches up with us and we all of a sudden everything goes wrong. Many tim4s it is too late to solve anything.

Ford Motors is always thinking about its clients and the people who drive their cars. They are always trying to find ways to make life easier, to contribute to our comfort and to make life easier to us. This is why Ford Motors engineers are working on a car seat that will execute an electrocardiogram while the person is driving or sitting on the passenger seat. An electrocardiogram is a test that measures heart activity. This is a great opportunity for people with heart problems, low or high blood pressure.

It is well known that many serious accidents on highways or even in small roads is caused every day by people who suffer from heart failure all of a sudden. Other are driving normally and all of a sudden, their blood pressure drops and they faint losing control of the vehicle causing serious injuries and even death to others on the road. Many of these people did not even know that they suffered from a heart condition; they were simply going about their business when their hearts failed. Many had probably not seen a doctor in a long time too.

The seat Ford Motors is working on is equipped with six electrodes that are sensitive to the heart rate and blood pressure of the person driving or sitting on the chair. They have been located in such a way that the person’s size is not relevant; the electrodes will be able to monitor a person with any size or weight. The electrodes will also sense pulse and pressure through several layers of cotton or other clothing materials. Until now, to get an electrocardiogram, it is necessary for you to make an appointment with your doctor and have the electrodes pasted on your chest for during the exam, Ford Motors intends to change this.

The possibilities are numerous and Ford is working on all of them. One of them is the possibility of the car communicating with a health service or hospital and alerting them of the possibility of the driver having a heart attack. The seat will tell the driver, who has not seen a doctor in months or years, that is heart is not working right and that he or she needs to schedule a medical appointment. It is also possible that in case of heart failure the car could stop it or get out of traffic to avoid serious and possibly mortal accidents.

The possibilities for a heart monitoring seat are endless, Ford Motors knows that and has no problem investing and doing research in equipment and ways that they can help you care for your health and those driving around you. Do not wait for this seat to be on the market though, take some time tomorrow and make a medical appointment, get yourself checked out and bring some peace to your family. You only have one heart, take care of it.

Finding affordable rates for assurance voiture for your particular vehicle is easy if you go online to compare quotes. Doing a comparison of quotes at Kanetix can save you a substantial amount of money as you will be able to see which insurance companies in Ontario offer the most competitive rates.

If you are a car dealer, ask yourself a few questions:

Are you not getting enough visitors to your car website?

Are your sales figure not satisfactory?

Is your business not able to compete with the multitude of car dealerships in your area?

Are you concerned about all these issues as a small business owner? Then it is time that you revamp your sales approach to make it more sophisticated. All that your business needs now is effective automotive advertising.

Why you need advertising?

Any product, big or small, requires good advertising to make a name in the market. Even the best of products can fail to capture market, if not advertised well. The reason is simple. A business has to make itself known to its potential consumers in order to start getting sales.

To be a winner in this competitive age, your business needs thoughtful marketing and not just cheap sales pitch. Advertising gives your automotive dealership adequate presence and credibility in the market.

What is automotive advertising?

Automotive advertising is the proven way to boost your sales in this cut throat competitive arena. When you hire an automotive advertising agency, advertising professionals visit your dealership and chalk out custom made strategies for your business. They determine and study your market base to find out more ways to reach out to your audience.

Events and local workshops are organized in order to create a buzz around your brand. Effective automotive advertising is a healthy blend of online and offline media activities.

Listed below are some of the online tactics of automotive advertising:

Email marketing

Social Media Marketing

Dealer Search Engine Optimization

Bookmarking

Article Marketing

Directory Listing

Localized Search Marketing

Mobile Marketing

Some of the widely used offline means are as follows:

Events

Workshops

Billboards

Banners

Television ads

Newspaper ads

Brochures

Leaflets

Radio Advertising

Online and offline media are integrated to create a perfect brand image, thus adding presence, credibility, openness, and customer loyalty to your business.

Car dealerships continue to realize the potential of automotive advertising and this is proved by a recent survey which states that use of advertising in the automotive sector has grown by 23% and reached an annual amount of 3 billion USD. If you don’t want to be left behind, it is time that you refresh your ideas, and join the line of successful car dealers.

Automotive advertisement guarantees great sales and increased ROI for your business.

Making your vehicle a more economical and reducing ones environmental foot print is something we all want to do, reduce the financial burden of a vehicle while at the very same time protecting the fragile ecosystem we call our planet Earth for our children and their children. An area of concern is the catalyst used to propel and maintain a vehicle: fuel.

Everyone has a different image of what the sports car of the future will look like or how the family saloon will fit in futuristic movies and novels teach us something of what these hybrid vehicles might look like – notice they never seem to emit any kind of exhaust fumes either? At some point perhaps in the future are we likely to relinquish our high dependency on fossil fuels?

Interestingly since the first car was manufactured many moons ago now and before I was born – vehicles have changed dramatically in every way possible, but at the same time have stayed very similar to their original concept in terms of the mechanics under the hood and guess what? They still burn the same old stuff they were when they started out. Ok, a few advances have been made; the fuel is now unleaded for example and the process is one that is more efficient and refined.

Over time as you would probably imagine a variety of people have argued about the best method of powering our hungry motor vehicles, we now have (and have had for a fair while) widely available two main fuel types petrol and diesel, increasingly more popular is LPG gas and upcoming are the electric hybrids and potentially hydrogen vehicles.

Each of these vehicle power method will require some sort of adjustment, I suppose it’s like going from a large engine to a much smaller one – in that they are not quite as efficient (in terms of acceleration). Given more development time and money invested in to research would perhaps have this whole process made more efficient (like the petrol car).

Alternative technologies to our current ones are not invested in as heavily, this makes some sense though as they are not as widely adopted yet. With the ever squeezing price at the pumps though we will likely see some innovation when it comes to fuel choices and fuel economy.

I was a child growing up during the 80’s and certainly dreamed of a slim line vehicle like the ones in the movies, but never really thought or paid much attention to the main catalyst of a vehicle the fuel. The main issue I now see is how we convert all of these legacy vehicles to take advantage of cheaper fuels for our vehicles which are potentially more environmentally friendly? If this were even possible? And how could we provide enough stations to fuel our fleet of hybrid vehicles?

You have invested a lot of time and money in your new business venture. You really believe it has the potential to generate and amass huge revenues. You also believe that mobile marketing is the way to go to boost your profit potential. Now, if you could only develop and devise a mobile landing page in as quick of a timeframe as possible, you would be well on your way to success.

But, can you effectively build and host a mobile landing page in a short, efficient amount of time? Actually, you could likely meet such goals before the sun goes down if you know the most effective steps to take.

Now, there are free services out there which offer no cost hosting. Such services will likely also provide site building tools which are more than adequate for crafting a site. The common issue of contention with these services is that they will run advertisements on your mobile landing page since the free service does have to generate revenues.

You could seek out a paid mobile hosting site that offers the same tools for you to build a landing page. This would eliminate the issue of the ads. However, another problem may carry over from the free hosting site: your lack of experience.

Honestly, if you are not versed in how to build a landing page, you probably do not want to launch such a project on your own. You would likely be defeating yourself. The landing page must be highly professional and effective or else your entire campaign will be sunk. Remember, the landing page is the first thing visitors will see when they enter your site. As such, only someone with legitimate skills should be building the site. And, of course, you do not want to work with a fly by night mobile site host.

If you are venturing into the realm of mobile marketing, you need to do things properly or else you will not see much in terms of success. This is why that mobile landing page needs to be built to impress or else your campaign will likely falter.

There are some very important elements that the landing page needs to embody and they include:

Your product or service needs to be clearly identified and defined

Your business should be effectively branded

The landing page needs to be easily navigated in terms of being able to visit subpages, place orders, etc

It should leave the visitor with a positive impression

Missing these elements could undermine your entire business venture. The problem is so can delaying the launch of a mobile landing page since you will be reliant on such a page to sell your business.

The mobile landing page does not do very much for your business if it doesn’t exist!

Does this mean you should rush and hire the first mobile hosting and site builder service you come across? After all, you do need to have that landing page up by sundown? You might not want to rush out and hire a service right away because you want to hire the best service within your budget range. That said, you can solve the issue of getting a landing page produced right now. One means would be to employ a basic landing page template and create a page on your own. You could go live with this page and keep it for the short term which would enhance your ability to run your business until the perfect (or as close to perfect) landing page can be built and hosted.

The bottom line here is you need a mobile site’s landing page to deliver on your marketing goals. You do not necessarily want the page built as quickly as possible. However, if you do want the landing page built quickly while also maintaining an exceptional level of quality, then you will need to hire those professionals who can deliver on your expectations. Thankfully, there are scores of such professionals out there who can do exactly this.

If you are a website owner, getting more traffic to your site is probably one of your biggest priorities. After all, with more traffic you can make more contacts, make more sales, and make more money. But with so much competition in the search engine index, and search engine optimization being a time consuming process it can be difficult to know from where that traffic should come. But even after the last big Google algorithm Panda update, the one type of content that gets a lot of love is video. And there is no video website that Google loves more than its own Youtube.com.

So how can you use videos on Youtube to bring more traffic to your site? Here are some helpful tips to get you on the road to success and to get you more visitors to your website.

1. Put your link at the very top of your description. This way it will stand out and be visible without someone having to click the “show more” button to see your link. You should always allude to the link in your video as well as have a watermark of the URL in your video too. Your main goal is for that person to come to your website so take every opportunity Youtube gives you to do this.

2. Make helpful videos that solve a problem. People love videos that help them solve a problem. It’s much easier than having to read an article and if you are good at explaining things you will gain a subscriber. Find out what people in your line of business are struggling with. Once you figure out what is driving people crazy you can figure out a solution and make a video about it. This is the single most powerful piece of advice I could give you on getting traffic from your videos but it also will take some hard work and study.

3. Invite people to comment on your videos and subscribe. The more interaction you have on your videos the better off you will be. Youtube likes this and Google is showing signs that it is using factors like user interaction as a ranking factor as well. Besides, if you get a good comment war going on you can get a big spike in views, and all of this can mean big traffic for your site.

4. Promote your videos with social media. Every time you submit a video to Youtube you should promote it. Link to your new video with Facebook, Twitter, Digg, Reddit, and other social websites that allow you to share links with your followers and fans. Google is using social buzz to help determine where a website should rank in the search engines. Also, the more of these social links you have pointing to your video the better chance you have of getting people to view it.

One of the best things you can do to get more traffic using Youtube is simply to start cranking out the videos. Create as many videos as possible. If you need ideas you can simply take an article you have already written and turn it into a video. After all, if you want more free traffic it’s still going to cost you some time.
